Lifetime Installation Warranty – First Impression is able to provide a lifetime installation warranty under normal use and conditions because we have great confidence in our employee installers to do the job right the first time. Our company does not cut corners on steel and other materials to reduce cost. Doing this only generates more service issues and disappointed customers later. The Lifetime Warranty covers the overall structural integrity of the welded frame and door or gate, sill, hinges and screws.
Two Year Parts Warranty – First Impression provides a full two year warranty on the double cylinder lock, lever and powder coat finish. It is important to note that it is not practical for any company to guarantee any kind of paint finish forever; our experience has
always been that with proper care and protection from excessive moisture this durable finish will last for many years.
Door closers and screens are not guaranteed because rough usage, pets and children can
damage them. However, these parts are easily replaceable for a minimal charge from our factory office.
Sunscreens installed on windows are guaranteed for a full five years under normal use and conditions. Again, although it is not practical for any company to give a lifetime warranty on sunscreens, with proper handling our window sunscreens will last for many years.
Care and Maintenance Instructions:
- The Steel Finish: Clean the steel surface with a small amount of WD-40 sprayed
  on a clean cloth. Do NOT spray your steel security door or gate with water.
  Excessive exposure to water from garden hoses, lawn sprinklers, pets or
  other sources will soften the powder coat finish and void the warranty.
- Brass Hardware: Brass polish or any abrasive cleaning compound will damage the protective finish. Clean the inner workings with graphite spray and a soft cloth.
- Screens: Remove the screens and spray lightly with a garden hose and a mild soap. Shake off excess water and allow the screens to dry thoroughly before replacing.
- Glass Panels: Use a good quality commercial glass cleaner. Do not use any products containing abrasives.
- Door Closers: The doors closers we use are heavy-duty pneumatic closers that can
  be easily adjusted to either slow down (turn end screw clockwise) or speed up (turn
  end screw counter clockwise).
