Memorial Day is a time to pause, reflect, and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. It’s also a moment to recognize the values of courage, commitment, and selflessness that define true heroes—values we are proud to celebrate in support of Pat’s Run.

Recently, our First Impression team proudly participated in Pat’s Run, an inspiring event that directly supports the Pat Tillman Foundation—a cause rooted in service, sacrifice, and the power of legacy.

For those unfamiliar, Pat Tillman was a standout ASU football player and an NFL star with the Arizona Cardinals who made the extraordinary decision to leave his sports career behind after 9/11 and enlist in the U.S. Army in May 2002. He served honorably in Iraq and Afghanistan before his life was tragically cut short in 2004. While Pat’s death drew national attention, it’s his life—and the principles he lived by—that continue to inspire.

The Pat Tillman Foundation was established by his family and friends to carry forward his legacy. It supports military service members, veterans, and spouses through academic scholarships, leadership development, and a global community of high-performing mentors and peers. The Tillman Scholars are making a difference across fields like healthcare, education, business, STEM, public service, and the humanities—leading through action just as Pat did.

Our team was honored to run in Pat’s memory and in support of the Foundation’s incredible mission. The event was a powerful reminder of the strength and dedication of those who serve—and those who continue to serve in new ways, long after their uniforms are retired.

This Memorial Day, as we honor all those who have given their lives in defense of our nation, we also celebrate the enduring impact of their legacy. Participating in Pat’s Run was just one way our team chose to honor that legacy—and we’re grateful for the opportunity.
